Morbidity

Morbidity is defined by the US CDC (CDC 2013) as “Any departure, subjective or objective, from a state of hysiological or psychological well-being”. Morbidity may also refer to a count of the number of individuals afflicted by some illness or reduced health status, the affected proportion of a population, or the temporal extent of the prevalence of a given illness or disease (Porta 2008).
